Scope and content
Eliza complains of the time spent in letter writing. Jemima's condition is stable and her doctor Mr Bush hopes she will make a full recovery. Eliza describes their lodgings as comfortable but that St James's Parade "is far from being stiled the pleasantest part of Bath - on many accounts it is more suitable for an invalid which was the first thing to be considered - no carriages can pass - and very few people do - that we are quite retired and free from noise - it is rather dull for me". Aunt Fenner called and was good company. Eliza is trying to persuade Jemima Crabb to have her portrait taken in miniature. Post stamp
